(Washington, MO) The popular Davis Family has been in the studio working on a new project with producer, Mike Loudermilk, at the Project House in Nashville. They also renew their contract agreement with EHA-Nashville this month. The family group has been traveling and singing since they can remember. David and Rosemary Davis formed the group with family in mind, which also includes their daughter, Becky Davis-Short and her children, Jack and Maddy. Original songs, Jesus is Enough, Look Up, and many more are part of their close family harmonies and trademark sound. In 2010, Becky was the 2nd place winner in the His Choice Music Talent Search that took place in Branson, MO. They have participated in the National Quartet Convention, sang in the Brumley Showcase, and are members of the Mid America Gospel Music Association (Magna). The group has also been members of the Nashville-based, USAGEM organization where they were named “New Artist of the Year” in the annual awards show. They are current members of the Nashville-based Southern Gospel Singers United (SGSU) and the Music City Christian Fellowship (MCCF). Evie Hawkins notes, “It’s an honor to continue working for this anointed group for the fifth year! Rosemary Davis has written a book about the family’s musical journey that conveys the passion the Davis Family has for spreading joy to those hurting and reaching the lost through song!” The group’s latest project is slated to be released in early Spring and plans are in place to distribute a single to radio on Patterson Promotions radio compilation # 18.
