Larry Stephenson Band Receives Four SPBGMA Award Nominations including Album of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year
Nashville, Tenn. (February 3, 2015 ) — Larry Stephenson is proud to announce he will host the Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree held at the Texas Troubadour Theatre located at 2416 Music Valley Drive in Nashville, Tenn. on Saturday, February 7. The Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree is the second longest running radio show in history and is broadcast live on AM 650 WSM Radio. Music fans can be a part of the live audience this Saturday night at 12 Midnight. Admission is free. Stephenson will welcome special guest The Gentlemen of Bluegrass.
The Larry Stephenson Band received four 2015 SPBGMA Award Nominations including Bluegrass Album of the Year for Pull Your Savior In; Vocal Group of the Year; Song of the Year for “Come To Jesus Moment” written by Donna Ulisse; with Stephenson receiving a nomination for Mandolin Player of the Year. The 41st Annual SPBGMA Bluegrass Music Awards and 32nd National Convention will take place February 5-8 at the Sheraton Music City Hotel, Nashville, Tenn.
The Larry Stephenson Band, that includes members Larry Stephenson, Kenny Ingram, Kevin Richardson, and Matt Wright, will perform on the main stage at the SPBGMA convention Friday, February 6 at 7:30 pm and again Saturday, February 7 at 8:55 pm. On Sunday evening, Larry and his wife Dreama will be Award Presenters at the SPBGMA Awards Show.
The album, Pull Your Savior In, celebrates the Larry Stephenson Band’s 25th Anniversary. This impressive project includes numerous chart singles including the title track currently at #9 on the February Singing News Magazine Bluegrass Chart and at #2 on Powergrass Radio’s Gospel Chart along with another song “If You Want To Live Forever” at #6. “Pull Your Savior In” has also appeared on the Bluegrass Today Top 20 Bluegrass Songs chart as well. The album was produced by Ben Surratt and Larry Stephenson and includes the talents of Larry Stephenson, Kenny Ingram, Colby Laney, Danny Stewart with special guests Jimmy Fortune, Aubrey Haynie, David Parmley, and Dale Perry.
