About Tammy Jones Robinette
Tammy started singing at the age of eight and sang with her family on her grandpa’s radio program, where he would preach and they would sing. The singing continued, with Tammy and her three siblings singing together as the Jones Family for twelve years. The family group recorded with the Eddie Crook Company in Nashville for several years. It was during these recordings that Tammy penned several songs that caught the attention of nationally known artists.
With a self-penned song entitled “Who I Am,” she and her husband Jim (aka Rob) launched her solo ministry to radio. Since that time, they have seen many people make decisions for Christ through this ministry, and this is still their main goal today. To date, Tammy has had 26 top 80 songs in the charts – all of which she has written. Tammy recently recorded her first bluegrass CD at Skaggs Place and Hilltop in Nashville, with former Kentucky Thunder band member Mark Fain as producer. The Tammy Jones Robinette Band was featured at Dollywood in 2014.
Tammy and Jim live in Northeast Ohio and have one son, Preston. They also own TS Promotions. Jim and Tammy host a southern and bluegrass radio program called “The Southern Celebration” every Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 on WLRD 96.9 (or listen live streaming via the internet on WLRD.net
