(Nashville, TN) Tim Menzies has a lifelong history of writing and performing excellent material. “I Was There” is no exception, as its promotion is reaching a large, diverse audience through Pauline Patterson and Rhonda Thompson. Tim has experienced a successful career in the music ministry. From his roots growing up performing in Virginia as part of the Menzies family band, and even a Grammy nominated album, his top-knotch songs helped to pave his path to Nashville where he also played guitar on projects for Kenny Rogers, Tammy Wynette, Waylon and Willie and more. Some of his work included his music contribution on records, singing national jingles for Coca Cola, Bonanza Restaurants, and Chevrolet Trucks, and live Nashville performances. In 1985, Bob Beckham signed Tim to Combine Music and from there he became a full time songwriter. Some of the artists who recorded his songs include George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Kenny Rogers, John Conlee, Gene Watson, Shenandoah, Doug Stone, Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence, Shelby Lynne, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Mark Chestnutt, Randy Travis, Patty Loveless, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Joe Diffie, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner and many others. However, as Tim and his wife, Brenda, started including more church activities, Tim’s calling led him toward Jesus Christ and a transition to record a Christian project. Produced by Ben Isaacs and engineered by Mark Capps, “His Way of Loving Me” album garnered a Grammy nomination. The rest is history for Tim. He is strongly grounded in his love for God’s music and his road is still leading in that positive direction with this exceptional new release.
