Jamestown, KY – May 26, 2015 – The Blakey Quartet of Jamestown, Kentucky have announced their plans to celebrate 30 years of singing Gospel music.
The Blakey Quartet was born out of a small Wesleyan Church in 1985. Now 30 years later, they are still travelling and singing, doing close to 60 concerts each year. Keith and Junior Blakey, the two original members, have travelled continuously with the group for the past 30 years.
To celebrate the occasion, the Blakey Quartet is holding a 30th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, June 27, at 7 p.m. EST at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Ky. The concert is free and open to the public. In addition, the concert will be filmed and released as a live DVD and album.
