Mobile has had an annual southern gospel weekend event in January for the past decade. Ricky Capps, of Paradise Entertainment and Master’s Voice, has promoted the event for the past two years. Pastor Bill Bailey shares, “If it had not been for Ricky keeping this event alive, there would not be an annual southern gospel January concert in Mobile. Just recently, Ricky passed the torch to our ministry in the hopes that we would be able to grow the event. With most of our events being in the Southeast, and his other events in the Midwest, he felt we were in a more strategic position to promote Mobile. We are certainly going to give it our best shot!”
For the first time ever, this year’s event will be non-ticketed! A $15 donation per person will be requested at the door for each night’s concert. ($10 for the Saturday 1pm matinee.) A free-will offering will be received during each concert for FCC Ministries. Doors open one hour early for each session, and all seating is general admission. Cottage Hill Baptist Church seats 2400, and so there’s plenty of room for everyone.
Cottage Hill Baptist Church is located at 4255 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile, Alabama. For more information, call (941) 756-6942.
