Nashville, TN — Popular bluegrass band, Flatt Lonesome is proud to announce their first ever online concert on January 28th, supporting Musicians Against Childhood Cancer’s (MACC) efforts to fight childhood cancer. The band has performed at the MACC’s four-day summer music festival which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for the past three years, and is excited to help further contribute to such a great cause. Flatt Lonesome believes in the MACC so much, that they take their summer vacation and spend all four days at the MACC festival.
Flatt Lonesome has been avid supporters of the MACC and their cause, particularly after touring St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with MACC founders, Darrel and Phyllis Adkins. “I don’t think any of us realized how important it was until we got the opportunity to go visit [St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital] with Darrel and Phyllis,” said Flatt Lonesome’s Kelsi Harrigill. “That was a life-changing experience.”
On January 28th at 8:00PM Eastern/7:00PM Central, the band will be performing a special online benefit concert, streaming on Concert Window. Broadcast live from Beans N’ Cream Coffeehouse in Cedarville, OH, fans from across the world can view the performance live through Concert Window, by simply making a donation of their choice. All proceeds will be donated to the MACC to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s fight to end cancer.
In addition to being the band’s first ever online concert, the band wants to offer viewers something different from their regular stage show and thought it would be fun to exclusively feature nothing but the band’s favorite country songs (done in Flatt Lonesome’s original bluegrass style of course). Dubbed “Country Covers”, the band will draw from their influences such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Patty Loveless, Dwight Yoakam, Johnny Cash, and more for this special show for a worthy cause.
Tune in to Flatt Lonesome’s “Country Covers” Concert Window show on January 28th at 8:00PM Eastern/7:00PM Central by heading to concertwindow.com/flattlonesome. Tickets are donation-based, and all proceeds will be donated to the MACC to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help end cancer.
